These coffees tend to have intense floral notes, which led to this varietal being misidentified as Geisha for years. In the Inkawasi district of Cusco, Peru, farmers noticed the pronounced floral characteristics and, thus, the varietal was locally named \"Inca Gesha\". Fast-forward to today and the WCR genetic testing has confirmed that these plants were not Geisha or Bourbon, but SL-09.
